Isaac Asimov - Neanche gli dei

Devo fare pubblica ammenda: è il primo romanzo di Asimov che leggo, anzi, è la sua prima opera in assoluto su cui metto le mani.
Devo dire che mi sento parecchio in difetto per essere approdata così tardi su un autore tanto blasonato, ma forse, come sempre, certi libri arrivano quando è il momento giusto per leggerli e apprezzarli a dovere. Sono quei libri che aprono alcune porte segrete dello spirito e danno accesso a luoghi straordinari in cui la mente si perde ammaliata.
Non ho idea se "Neanche gli dei" sia uno dei migliori romanzi di Asimov, ma di sicuro è uno dei più belli che io abbia mai letto. E non perché sia scritto in modo particolarmente magistrale (Asimov è un very good storyteller, but not above many others) or the astonishing originality (even if you breathe sense of wonder on every page).

Finalmente dopo diverso tempo, dopo molti tentativi andati a vuoto, rinunciando ad una cena per sfruttare la bella nottata... eccola!

Purtroppo dei 38 scatti fatti, solamente 15 sono stati utili perchè delle nuvolette infami si sono messe in mezzo... non bastava il freddo! comunque qualcosa di buono c'è!!!

La Galassia del Triangolo , conosciuta anche con il nome di M33 (oggetto numero 33 del catalogo di Charles Messier) e di NGC 598 , è una galassia a spirale distante circa 3 milioni di anni luce dalla Terra e situata nella costellazione del Triangolo. Nel mondo anglosassone M33 è anche informalmente chiamata Pinwheel Galaxy (in italiano letteralmente Galassia Girandola ).

La Galassia del Triangolo è la seconda galassia non nana più vicina alla Via Lattea, dopo la Galassia di Andromeda (M31). Può essere vista con un binocolo sotto cieli bui, attraverso il quale si presenta come una macchia ovaleggiante e dai contorni irregolari; sotto un cielo eccezionalmente buono, dove l'inquinamento luminoso è sufficientemente basso, è persino possibile notarla ad occhio nudo, tramite la visione distolta. Infatti, essendo un oggetto diffuso, la sua visibilità è fortemente influenzata anche da una piccola quantità di inquinamento luminoso e può variare dalla possibilità di vedere facilmente l'oggetto in visione diretta in cieli molto scuri fino a scrutarlo con molta difficoltà in visione distolta in cieli sopra aree rurali e suburbane

Scopo principale della ripresa è stato il collaudo del nuovo setup di guida con il rifrattore 80/400 che, a mio avviso si è comportato in maniera egregia nonostante gli otto minuti di posa ed i 12 kg di carico sulla montatura...

The Pleiades (also known as the Seven Sisters the Chioccetta or by the abbreviation M45 Charles Messier's catalog) is an open cluster visible in the constellation Taurus. Alnitak (Zeta Orionis / ζ Orionis / ζ Ori) è una delle tre stelle della Cintura di Orione, che costituisce la porzione centrale della costellazione di Orione. Alnitak è la più ad est delle tre stelle, essendo Mintaka la più occidentale e Alnilam quella centrale. Il suo nome deriva dall'arabo al nitaq , che significa appunto "cintura" o "fascia".
Alnitak giace in una regione affollata di nebulose di gas interstellare, fra cui la celebre Nebulosa Testa di Cavallo, e la nebulosa fiamma,   all'interno delle quali vi sono molte stelle in fase di formazione.

L'immagine è stata ripresa ancora agli inizi di dicembre ma ho deciso di riprenderla in mano perchè a livello di elaborazione si poteva fare meglio... ecco che con un crop ed un maggior tiraggio delle curve si esalta la nebulosa fiamma e la testa di cavallo! Osservando bene si vede che il segnale è stato tirato per i capelli ma comunque la reputo piacevole... basta non ingrandirla troppo ;-)

Anche se la stessa propaganda sionista tenta di suscitare guerra fra cristianesimo e Islam, non esiste nessun motivo per il quale le due grandi religioni con ciascuna oltre un miliardo di fedeli dichiarati non possano e non debbano vivere in pace nel rispetto reciproco. Non è certo, sul piano dei numeri, una grande religione il giudaismo. Lo fu nel primo millennio, ai tempi della Kazaria, ma poi perse nel tempo ogni attrattiva ed oggi è teologicamente compromessa per la commistione, tutta politica ed economica, fra ebraismo e sionismo. Se le persone di fede giudaica non superano oggi nel mondo qualche decina di milioni di persone, deve però riconoscersi ad essa una grande potenza politica per la capacità lobbistica dei suoi membri sionisti sulla maggiore potenza che attualmente incombe sul pianeta terra, cioè gli USA. Non entriamo adesso in dettagli che trattiamo altrove. Aggiungiamo soltanto che le tre religioni monoteiste, pur spesso in conflitto fra di loro, hanno una comune matrice e nella Bibbia e soprattutto nella concezione monoteista, che soppiantò il bel mondo popolato da quelle innumerevoli divinità, assai tolleranti, che ormai possiamo conoscere solo dai poemi classici e da quanto è sopravvissuto della loro memoria nelle arti figurative. Il cristianesimo – a nostro avviso – è frutto più dell’ambiente ellenistico che non del giudaismo, la cui angustia teologica e antropologica ci sembra la vera causa della sua scarsa attrattiva, se oggi solo pochi milioni di persone professano questa religione. Il cristianesimo seppe invece assorbire in una grande sincretismo quanto la religiosità greco-romana aveva ed avrebbe ben potuto tramandare fino a noi se non fosse stata sconfitta dalla pretesa intollerante dell’Unico Dio. Ma anche per questa problematica abbiamo un blog specifico, al quale rinviamo e dove cureremo i necessari svolgimenti. Qui presentiamo senz’altro indugio il primo di una serie articoli integrativi della ricostruzione di una Guerra Ultracentenaria che funesta ancora oggi la nostra epoca.

LA QUESTIONE DEI LUOGHI SANTI

Da parecchi decenni tutte le volte che si è avuta occasione di redigere un trattato con la Turchia, si è accennato alla questione dei Luoghi Santi. Ma mentre le varie questioni territoriali, commerciali, economiche, ecc,. appaiono in quei trattati per solito nettamente definitem quando si viene all’argomento dei Luoghi Santi la soluzione prescelta è sempre redatta il forma sì vaga e nebulosa, che finisce per non risolver nulla.

Valga come ottimo degli esempi l’articolo 62 del Trattato di Berlino del 13 luglio 1878:

« Il est bien intendu, qu’aucune atteinte ne saurait être portée au statu quo dans les Lieux Saints ».

Nè si deve pensare che questa vaga indeterminatezza di formula sia dovuta allo scarso interesse che la questione sembra debba suscitare tra gli scettici uomini d’Occidente, ma piuttosto alla delicatezza somma della cosa e al molto d’interesse e di passione che essa può sollevare tra gli uomini del Levante.

Continuiamo con la rubrica un incipit al mese, ovvero un post dedicato alla trascrizione delle prime righe del libro che ho in lettura. Un post al mese, ogni primo giorno del mese.

Questo mese sto leggendo un libro di uno scrittore che amo particolarmente. Appena letto le prime righe è stato come riabbracciare un vecchio e caro amico.
Ho ritrovato la vecchia atmosfera, lo stile asciutto e pulito, l'autoironia light and melancholy, the flashbacks in the past, quotes, background music. Yes, read this novel, like any book of this writer, it gives me the same pleasure when I make sweet tea with an old friend from high school.

 Ma un dubbio mi assale: nel declino del reuccio sole peseranno di più, nel futuro, i festini nei luoghi di potere o la crisi economica che continua a svuotare le tasche e i salvadanai di noi poveri mortali?

Nei libri di scuola ricorderanno più le avvenenti e previdenti minorenni , le tante Ruby, Naomi...o piuttosto le imprese che chiudono, gli operai in cassa integrazione, l’inerzia, l’inazione sulla crescita del Paese che , privilegiando «il passato rispetto al futuro esclude dalla valutazione del benessere la visione di coloro per cui il futuro è l’unica ricchezza: i giovani» così come afferma il Governatore della Banca d'Italia Mario Draghi, nella lezione magistrale che si è tenuta oggi ad Ancona?

Altro amletico dubbio: nel nostro Paese non esiste altra dinamica sociale oltre al velinismo?

Certo, non è un reato arricchirsi, desiderare di vivere nel lusso e oggi la firma, la griffe l'ostentazione dei beni di lusso sembrano esorcizzare la povertà e...l'anonimato. Un vero talismano contro la povertà.

Ma oggi non esiste nessun  ascensore sociale: i poveri restano o diventano sempre più poveri a meno che...si è di belle e fresche fattezze e soprattutto disposti ad avvicinarsi al potere o meglio ad entrare nelle camere del potere.

O tempora o mores...che tempi, che modi signora mia!
