JAKOB PHANUS: IL RE DEGLI ALCHIMISTI
Alla fine delle crociate un uomo saggio, in mezzo a tante avversità e persecuzioni, tentò di edificare un ponte spirituale tra occidente ed oriente: Raimondo Lullo. Orginario di Palma de Mallorca, a causa di una delusione amorosa, rifiutato dalla bell’Ambrosia, in seguito ad una crisi interiore, si fece missionario e girò tutta l’Europa nel tentativo di unificare i vari ordini cavallereschi in un unico progetto di conversione dell’Islam. Pagò di persona, viaggiatore solitario in Tunisia a predicare il Vangelo. Gravemente ferito per le percosse, ritornò in patria, ma morì durante il viaggio. Il suo impegno culturale, scientifico e spirituale fu notevole; scrisse numerose opere di teologia, di alchimia, di geometria.
Questo è il protagonista del libro di Jakob Phanus “Il re degli alchimisti”, secondo una non banale scelta dall’editore Ursini, che si proietta così oltre i confini regionali.

The author leaves open the question of the authenticity of Llull Alchemist, located on the historical background of the troubled Two hundred two protagonists: a true, Llull, the other invented Mundanus. The two characters are similar, they have much in common, they are interchangeable, in a shrewd game of splitting, in the life and death.

Massimo Introvigne, fondatore del Cesnur - Centro Studi sulle Nuove Religioni, a proposito di questa dottrina affermava che “la parola Alchimia va declinata in riferimento a diverse epoche storiche. L’alchimia medievale è un tentativo di approfondire la conoscenza della natura alla luce delle nozioni scientifiche dell’epoca, della filosofia classica e della fede cristiana: la hanno praticata anche santi canonizzati, ed è impensabile che la Chiesa la condanni”. E certamente l’opera di Phanus contribuisce ad una più approfondita conoscenza dell’affascinante pensiero alchemico.
